We are looking for a Design Team Lead SSV who will report to the Project Manager to help us lead a design team that is passionate about the world of motorsports and driven by innovation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage innovative design projects that define the very essence of BRP's reputation.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Manage all mechanical design technician in your group to ensure that team objectives are met;

  • Oversee the completion of design activities in accordance with best practices, such as technical drawings, parts lists, digital models, and other documentation;

  • Ensure the professional development of each member of your team;

  • Collaborate with different sectors to ensure product development and on-time delivery of tools and components;

  • Monitor and establish KPIs based on departmental objectives;

  • Advise and contribute to your department's strategies and directions with a view to continuous improvement.

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • DEC in mechanical engineering or other relevant field;

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience;

  • Good communication skills in French and English, both oral and written; English is required because the person will have to read technical and regulatory documentation not available in French and communicate with international suppliers.

  • Good knowledge of design technologies and methodologies;

  • Good command of Catia V5 and Smarteam;

  • Interest and aptitude for team management;

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and priority management skills;
