We are partnering with a leading Québec-based industrial company undergoing a major digital transformation. The organization is modernizing its technological environment while maintaining the reliability of its critical IBM i systems.
In this context, we are looking for a Senior AS400 / IBM i Developer to contribute to the development, evolution, and modernization of its strategic business applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and modernize business applications on the IBM i / iSeries (Power10) platform.

  • Program in RPGLE Free Format, CL, and SQL (DB2/400).

  • Participate in solution architecture and system integration (APIs, Web Services, internal ERP).

  • Provide technical guidance to intermediate developers (code reviews, best practices, documentation).

  • Contribute to test automation and DevOps practices using modern tools (Git, Jenkins, RDi, etc.).

  • Collaborate closely with business analysts and IT operations teams.

  • Stay current on IBM i / AS400 / RPG / Power10 technologies and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

Profile

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience working on the IBM i / AS400 / iSeries platform.

  • Strong expertise in RPG (RPG II, RPG IV, RPGLE Free Format), CL, and SQL (DB2/400).

  • Deep understanding of the IBM i ecosystem: queues, system security, administration, and performance.

  • Experience in modernizing legacy systems, integrating APIs (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML).

  • Familiarity with modern development tools such as RDi, Git, Jenkins, or equivalents.

  • Fluency in French is mandatory. Functional English is required for technical documentation and occasional collaboration with U.S.-based users.

Contract Details

  • Permanent, full-time position

  • Competitive salary based on experience
