The Grant Analyst role is responsible for evaluating grant applications from not-for-profit organizations and making funding recommendations. The position monitors the use of gaming funds and provides guidance to recipients to ensure compliance with the program's terms and conditions. The role is also responsible for providing information, both verbally and in writing, to applicants, recipients, management, auditors, investigators, and the general public about the Community Gaming Grant program. Job Requirements: Diploma or higher in post-secondary education. A minimum of two (2) years related experience, must include all of the following: Providing complex information and advice to clients or the public regarding programs or services. Interpreting and applying guidelines, policy or procedures in a work environment that assesses applications. Making and communicating substantive decisions affecting other people under tight timelines. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Preference may be given to applicants with the following: Experience analyzing applications for funding within a government work environment. Experience analyzing financial or accounting statements and with a working knowledge of accounting principles. Experience working with or for not-for-profit organizations. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to four (4) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
