VALLEE Forestry Equipment is seeking an excellent communicator who is eager to take on challenges in the sales of portable sawmills, firewood processors, towable mini-excavators, and other forestry equipment. This individual will act as a Sales Representative. One’s responsibilities will include retail sales of products and merchandise manufactured and distributed by the company. The representative will also be responsible for answering to the needs and requests of the VALLEE network of authorized retailers located across Canada and throughout the Northeastern United States.

In accordance with established policies, this person will advise VALLEE retail clients and authorized retailers with the aim of increasing sales volume while ensuring the company's presence in the territory under one’s responsibility.

The Sales Representative's responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients interested in purchasing equipment from the wide range of products offered by VALLEE and its suppliers;
  • Organizing and conducting meetings with clients to introduce and sell the company's products and services;
  • Showcasing merchandise and conducting equipment demonstrations;
  • Preparing quotes and following up to close sales;
  • Developing a schedule for preparing, shipping and sometimes delivering equipment sold under his or her responsibility;
  • Being and remaining available to clients to ensure the highest possible level of service and satisfaction while working with the existing team;
  • Occasionally carrying out digital marketing;
  • Participating in agroforestry trade shows during the season to:
    • Ensure VALLEE's presence;
    • Gather information about market forces and conditions;
  • Performing any other related tasks.

Requested skills

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies or other sales training an asset;
  • Interest in the forestry sector would be appreciated;
  • Minimum English proficiency of 4.5 out of 5;
  • Strong sales strategy skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience working in a computerized environment an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • Strong organizational and planning skills;
  • Team player;
  • Ability to multitask and manage stress.

Commissions

Commissions or performance bonus program offered

Working conditions:

  • Annual base salary plus commissions of $50,000 and more;
  • Performance bonuses;
