What You'll Do
As an Application Specialist / Project Manager, you'll play a key role in designing solutions, supporting customers, and delivering successful industrial projects.
Technical Design & Engineering
- Meet with customers to understand operational needs and project requirements
- Design hydraulic power units (HPUs) and pneumatic systems
- Select system components and prepare requisition requests
- Develop hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation
- Perform calculations to determine system capacities and performance requirements
- Prepare specifications, project cost estimates, and technical proposals in both English and French
Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects from concept through completion
- Track project progress and proactively communicate schedule updates and delays
- Support production activities and installation projects asrequired
- Ensure projects are delivered according to customer expectations, budget, and timeline requirements
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Oversee the development of assembly drawings and engineering documentation
- Serve as the technical expert during proposal and quotation development
- Collaborate closely with sales, manufacturing, procurement, and service teams to ensure successful project execution
- Contribute innovative ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business
Quality & Process Improvement
- Maintain high engineering and documentation standards
- Establish and follow procedures that ensure quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions to improve performance and productivity
Customer Support
- Build strong customer relationships by providing technicalexpertiseand application support
- Recommend effective solutions that improve equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency

Qualifications
Required
- 3 to 4 years of experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BEng/BSE) in a related field, equivalent technologist training, or 5+ years of relevant hydraulic and/or pneumatic experience
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Experience with 3D design software (SolidWorks, Atout, or similar)
- Strong computer skills, including intermediate Excel proficiency
- Ability to communicate, read, and write in both French and English
Assets
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of PLC programming
- Knowledge of electrical design systems
- Experience preparing technical proposals and cost estimates
- Experience working in industrial automation, hydraulics, or pneumatic applications
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel to customer sites asrequired
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of a background check
- Acceptable driver's abstract
