JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the primary health care director, the regional manager of community programs (family, sexual health, screening and prevention) is responsible for planning, organizing and managing operations related to various community programs. These programs include, but are not limited to, clinics for children aged 0 to 5, school-based health services, immunization record management and screening, and sexual health services, with a particular focus on youth, LGBTQIA+ individuals and marginalized communities.
The incumbent ensures the optimal management of human, financial and material resources, oversees the implementation of support tools for teams, and acts as a co-leader with partner sectors. They play a strategic role in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs as well as performance and quality management processes. They represent Vitalité Health Network in dealings with community partners, and may be given other mandates depending on operational needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to health administration, health or another relevant field;
- Master’s degree in the health field (an asset);
- Training in health management or organizational leadership (an asset);
- Minimum experience of five to eight years in a health care or services management position;
- At least five years experience in clinical practice in the health care field;
- Experience in staff supervision, with strong coaching and team management skills;
- In-depth knowledge and proven experience in primary health care;
- Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of health programs;
- Equivalent combination of training and experience (may be considered);
- Ability to build and maintain internal and external partnerships, with a good knowledge of the environment and a rallying spirit;
- Strong leadership and superior communication skills;
- Strategic thinking skills and an innovative, collaborative management approach;
- Problem-solving, planning, program development, and program evaluation skills;
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment and implement change management strategies;
- Significant experience in managing human, financial and information resources;
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results, both individually and as part of a team;
- Proficiency in the computer tools used at Vitalité Health Network;
- Availability to travel within the Network’s territory;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
