Manager – Medical Imaging Services

JOB SUMMARY :

Reporting to the Regional Director of Medical Imaging Services, the incumbent will assume overall responsibility for the administrative management of human, financial and material resources, staff training, as well as quality and risk management of imaging services in their zone. They will ensure that services comply with legislation, accreditation standards, and Network standards and policies. They will also plan activities based on the department's strategic plan, the Network’s priorities and identified needs.

The incumbent must adhere to the mission, vision and values of Vitalité Health Network. They will be responsible for managing employees physically working in other zones. Therefore, as part of their duties, they will be required to travel within their zone or within the Vitalité Health Network territory.

REQUIREMENTS :

 

  • Undergraduate degree in the health care field or any other combination of relevant training and experience deemed equivalent;
  • Minimum of five years’ clinical experience;
  • Minimum of three years’ management or supervisory experience;
  • Member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (New Brunswick division);
  • Knowledge of software commonly used by the Network;
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, evaluating and improving services, as well as in problem-solving and conflict resolution;
  • Strategic-thinking skills and innovative and collaborative management style;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to delegate duties and responsibilities;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks;
  • Participatory leadership style that focuses on patients and outcomes and inspires commitment, respect, compassion and equity;
  • Willingness to embrace change and ability to manage it with a positive attitude;
  • Ability to use evidence-based data in decision-making;
  • A genuine desire to improve professional knowledge and competencies, and ability to foster professional interest within the team;
  • Flexibility in working hours;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
