Electronic Medical Records System Management Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Regional Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the management, updating and integrity of the electronic medical records system. They ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of medical information, while providing technical and administrative support to health care professionals in the use of the EMR system.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Two years of post-secondary education in a secretarial, health care, computer or related field;
• At least two years' experience in EMR management;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) – intermediate-advanced knowledge of Excel considered an asset;
• Knowledge of standards and regulations governing the confidentiality of medical data;
• Ability to train and support EMR system users;
• Organizational skills, diligence and attention to detail;
• Good communication skills and team spirit;
• Excellent skills in serving a variety of clients;
• Leadership;
• Ability to manage workload and handle multiple priorities;
• Discretion and sense of responsibility;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
