ELECTRICAL MECHANIC
UFP Canada is one of the country's leading manufacturers and suppliers of industrial packaging products, specialty lumber, building materials and lattice. We are a growing and essential company and are looking for an electrical mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose and solve pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems. As an electromechanic, you'll play an essential role in mainteining and repairing our equipment and machines whilst performing a variety of corrective and preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns, extend the life of our equipment, minimize downtime and optimize our overall production performance.
Job type: Day and evening, permanent, full-time
Daytime schedule : Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Evening schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Salary: To be discussed, depending on experience; 23,31$ - 34,00$
Evening premium: 3$ / hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support day-to-day production by performing troubleshooting to minimize downtime;
- Perform various preventive maintencace activities such as inspections and servicing ;
- Complete repair taks such as dentify, isolate, repair and restore equipement machines or systems to their operational condition;
- Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, sub-assemblies, wiring or assembly boxes using rivets, bolts, welding or micro-welding equipment;
- Read and interpret plans, work orders or reports to determine material requirements and assembly methods;
- Fabricate, repair or form parts, coils or structures to specifications, using drills, calipers, cutters or saws;
- Adjust, repair or replace electrical or electronic components to correct defects and ensure compliance with specifications;
- Perform welding and general maintenance work.
QUAIFICATIONS:
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and prioritization skills;
- strong initiative and exceptional communication skills;
- Strong ability to work in a team environment and in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience in managing personnel (an asset).
