The Township of Champlain is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to fill part-time and casual positions of facility attendants.

Reporting to the Parks and Recreation Lead Hand, the successful candidate will assist with general arena and community centre operations. This position is located at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Moving and changing nets during ice resurfacing.
  • Assisting the Facility Attendant with ice maintenance tasks.
  • Cleaning washrooms, windows and dressing rooms.
  • General housekeeping duties such as sweeping, changing garbage, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
  • Event set-up and take-down.
  • Minor building maintenance and risk prevention.
  • Perform any other duties related to the position.
Working Conditions
  • Regularly stands, walks, climbs, and crouches. Occasionally lifts and carries up to 20 pounds or more.
  • Exposure to various temperatures, odours and weather conditions.
  • The salary for this position is $17.20 per hour.
  • This position is part-time and casual for 6 to 20 hours per week from September until April.
