Description
Assignment:
- Full-time 1.0 FTE Educational Assistant position
- Duties to commence August 27, 2025 and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year
- Working with Elementary students in an individual and classroom setting
Qualifications and/or Assets:
- Experience working with students with complex behaviour needs
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Calm and patient approach to solving problems
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
- Ability to work one on one with a student in an inclusive environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
- Calm, confident, and skilled professional who can maintain structure and consistency while supporting students who require supervision, redirection, and personalized programming throughout the school day.
- Reliability and eager to learn would be considered an asset
- Flexibility to work in a variety of programs
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-orientated learning environment
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion and patience
- Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant would be considered an asset
