Description
Alix Colony School is seeking a dedicated classroom Educational Assistant to support and assist the teacher in a multi-grade classroom encompassing Kindergarten through Grade 9 students. The ideal candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher to reinforce the skills being taught and guide students in small-group and one-on-one settings.
Assignment:
- Part-time 1.0 FTE Educational Assistant position
- Duties to commence August 27, 2025
Qualifications and/or Assets:
- Experience in multi-graded classrooms
- Experience in a colony school environment would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
- Ability to work with multiple students to support learning
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
- A calm and patient approach to solving problems
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-orientated environment
- Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
- Experience working with young ELA learners would be considered an asset
