The technical sales representative position is for a professional who masters both technically complex industrial environments and strategic business challenges. You are comfortable both on the factory floor and in a negotiation room.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Create opportunities before they happen:
  • Develop close relationships with customers to anticipate their needs
  • Listen to the customer before, during, and after the tender
  • Identify innovation or performance improvement leads
2. Be a technical and commercial advisor:
  • Understand industrial environments (production, maintenance, quality)
  • Build solutions with customers
3. Negotiation
  • Demonstrate the value of the solution beyond the price
  • Adjust the proposal according to the customer's constraints
  • Know when to push, when to wait (sense of timing)
4. Watch and scout
  • Stay informed about innovations in your field
  • Participate in trade shows, technical events, industrial visits
5. Ensure follow-up and build loyalty
  • Follow up after the sale with the customer and other internal STAS services

Requested skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Degree in mechanical, electrical, metallurgy, or other relevant fields;
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales in an industrial environment, experience in the aluminum industry is an asset;
  3. Comfortable with digital tools: CRM, Office suite, quotation software
  4. Spoken and written languages: French and English. This position requires proficiency in English due to regular interactions with English-speaking international partners. English is essential for providing quality service, drafting precise documents, and collaborating effectively;
  5. Significant mobility: regular visits to clients (local and international).
