Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the incumbent actively contributes to making human capital a true catalyst for growth, sustainability, and efficiency within STAS.

Driven by the vision of positioning the HR function as an integrated, high-performing, and proactive business partner, this person supports managers and employees in the implementation of HR initiatives and in the company’s ongoing cultural transformation.

Responsible for several key HR activities, the incumbent provides professional and human-centered support in areas such as staffing, training, HSE compliance, Cognibox management, employee engagement, and general HR administration, while ensuring consistent application of policies and best practices.

Main Responsibilities Recruitment and Staffing

  • Manage the full recruitment process (job postings, interviews, references, and job offers).

  • Support managers in workforce planning and candidate selection.

  • Coordinate onboarding and integration of new employees.

HR Systems and Platforms

  • Update employee data in HR systems.

  • Manage the Cognibox platform to ensure HSE compliance.

  • Produce HR reports, dashboards, and data extractions as required.

Training and HSE

  • Coordinate regulatory and professional development training.

  • Maintain up-to-date training records and certifications.

  • Support initiatives related to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance and awareness.

Engagement and Internal Communication

  • Contribute to organizing social, recognition, and engagement activities.

  • Collaborate in the planning and rollout of initiatives that foster team cohesion and employee engagement.

  • Support internal communications and HR cultural initiatives.

General Administrative Support

  • Support the preparation of VISA applications for business travel when required.

  • Assist in labor relations and HR compliance processes.

  • Participate in updating HR policies, procedures, and forms.

  • Take part in special projects and the continuous improvement of HR tools and processes.

  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Requested skills

Desired Profile Technical Skills
  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in administration, human resources, or equivalent field.

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.

  • Good knowledge of HR systems and office software tools.

  • Functional knowledge of Cognibox and HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) requirements (an asset).

  • Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices.

Behavioral Skills
  • Attention to detail, discretion, and autonomy.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
