Your responsibilities:
- Support and advise the Product Improvement and Development Supervisor as well as assigned internal and external clients;
- Develop new products and improve existing models;
- Carry out the design process from idea development, 3D modeling (SolidWorks), and factory manufacturing to real-world prototype testing;
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of projects with the various stakeholders involved;
- Be responsible for performing the calculations necessary for your role;
- Verify drawings and concepts;
- Perform all other related tasks.
You are the person we are looking for if:
- You have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
- You are a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;
- You have knowledge of computer-aided design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other);
- You are proficient in computer tools (MS Office);
- You have experience in manufacturing processes, tooling, steel, and aluminum;
- You are available to take short trips abroad (less than a week) when necessary;
- Asset: you have experience in machine and hydraulic system design.
