Your responsibilities:
• Support and advise the product improvement and development supervisor as well as the internal and external clients assigned to them;
• Work closely with the engineering team to develop new products and monitor continuous improvement activities for existing products;
• Participate in the development and preparation of drawings, plans, diagrams, or engineering layouts based on sketches;
• Participate in product design: idea development, 3D modeling (SolidWorks), factory manufacturing, and testing prototypes in real-world situations;
• Participate in the evaluation of production costs for prototypes and mass-produced products;
• Oversee the implementation and follow-up of projects with the various stakeholders involved;
• Verify drawings and concepts;
• Perform any other related tasks.
What success looks like:
In the first 6 months:
• You will master the product improvement process and our IT tools for tracking changes;
• You will master our design standards and be able to apply them independently;
• You will gain an in-depth understanding of our products, how they work, and their terminology;
• You will have completed a minimum of 5 improvement requests for each standard product.
• You will have completed improvement requests such as: revising the exhaust system for our gasoline engines, improving our method for securing removable stairs on our stages.
In the first year:
• You will have an understanding of the structural strengths of our products and understand the impact your modifications may have on them.
• With the help of your supervisor and related departments, you will have implemented an automated system for recording new product improvement requests.
• You will have completed a full review of the SL320's hydraulic system and produced its hydraulic diagram.
You are the person we are looking for if:
• You have a college degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience;
• You are proficient in 3D design software (Solidworks);
• You have strong analytical and synthesis skills;
• You have manual skills and an interest in manual work;
• You are known for your teamwork and collaboration skills.
