Material cutter

Help deliver products of unmatched quality: that’s what awaits you at Soucy. As a materials cutter, you’ll play a key role in the manufacturing of our rubber tracks. If you’re looking for a position in a manufacturing environment where you’ll need to demonstrate attention to detail and resourcefulness, this job is for you!

In this position, you will have the opportunity to :

• Follow safety rules, factory regulations, and established work procedures
• Perform the strip cutting operation
• Adjust the clutches according to the material to be cut and set the blades to the widths specified by the standard manufacturing range
• Use raw materials, equipment, and tools efficiently while adhering to specified quality standards
• Use raw materials appropriately to minimize waste or residue
• Notify the forklift operator of upcoming raw material needs
• Change the blades and blade shaft when they need sharpening or grinding, and schedule their preventive maintenance
• Weigh the cut rolls and the residues
• Supply ABS pipes to their workstation from the containers at the various workstations
• Complete the various quality control and production forms
• Maintain the cleanliness of their work area

With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:

• Master the use of measuring instruments (metrology)
• Ability to read, write and interpret manufacturing process information
