As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing support to users for the computer hardware, communication systems, and software used within the company (Windows, Office 365, and many others).
- Respond to users’ IT requests to support various infrastructures and software
- Configure, support, and manage the inventory of IT and network equipment (computers, printers, barcode readers, phone systems) and user software
- Manage user accounts for the network, email inboxes, and other software while ensuring the security of confidential data
- Conduct analyses to justify the purchase or replacement of IT equipment and prepare quotes from various suppliers
- Research hardware and software solutions to meet user needs
- DEC or AEC in Computer Science with a focus on networking
- Two (2) years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, WiFi, and/or VPN networks
- Familiarity with Windows 11 and Microsoft tools
- Experience with Office 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
- Knowledge of VMWARE (an asset) or other hypervisors
