SCHOOL OFFICE SUPPLY LIST SALARY RANGE: $24.09 - $27.94/hour (Elementary Clerk Steno) $25.85-30.04/hour (Secondary Office Assistant) POSTING CLOSING DATE: March 20, 2026 The Simcoe County District School Board is currently accepting resumes for the School Office Supply List. Applicants will not be added to the list without being thoroughly screened. Due to the anticipated response volume, not all applicants will be invited for an interview. Additionally, only candidates meeting or exceeding the required qualifications will be contacted for an interview. The duties, responsibilities and requirements for school office staff are not limited to details listed below but may include all of those in the job fact sheet for Elementary Clerk Steno, Secondary Office Assistant or Senior Administrative Support. Position Details: In elementary schools, the Elementary Clerk Steno acts as a resource to both internal and external individuals, and assists the Senior Administrative Support - Elementary in the administrative and secretarial duties of the school office under the direction of the administrator. In secondary schools, the Secondary Office Assistant provides administrative support to the school. Assists administration, teaching staff, students and guardians on a daily basis, in the areas of reception, attendance and guidance.

Qualifications

Required
: Secondary School Diploma. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills. Advanced skills in various software applications, e.g. MS Office. Excellent word processing skills. Ability to adapt to changing situations in the workplace. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred : Two-year college diploma in Business Administration or related field. Knowledge of Simcoe County District School Board Policies, Administrative Procedures Memoranda and Numbered Memoranda. Knowledge of board approved software, e.g. ATE/ EasyConnect, SchoolCash.net, JD Edwards, and Power School student information system. Knowledge of basic office and accounting procedures. First Aid and CPR Certificate. Previous experience working in a school environment.
