Packer – Day/Evening Shifts – 6‑Month Contract

The employee is responsible for the efficient packaging of Sika products while complying with safety rules and quality requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Package various products and/or prepare mixes while meeting quality requirements
  • Report to the team leader any product with quality issues or non‑conformities
  • Manually stack products on pallets or in storage racks
  • Perform daily maintenance on equipment
  • Complete and process required documentation
  • Follow all procedures of the environmental management program applicable to the work area
  • Work safely at all times and adhere to all company safety policies (PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space, safe lifting practices, etc.)
  • Report any unsafe working conditions, accidents, incidents, and near misses to the supervisor
  • Ensure general plant cleanliness, housekeeping, and yard sweeping according to applicable standards
  • Perform any other related duties

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Forklift operator certification (an asset)
  • 1 to 2 years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment
