Windows 11 Imaging Specialist to lead the migration of 500+ devices from Windows 10 to Windows 11 for a crown corporation client!

Our valued crown corporation client is seeking a Windows 11 Imaging Specialist to lead the migration of 500+ devices from Windows 10 to Windows 11!

8-10 week long contract with possibility of extension. On-site work required in Ottawa, ON - 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be a Windows 11 Imaging Specialist leading the migration of 500+ devices from Windows 10 to Windows 11. This role involves upgrading the existing SCCM infrastructure, creating three standardized Windows 11 images, and supporting the deployment across the client's organization. You will be responsible for delivering the following:

• Fully upgraded SCCM environment
• Three production-ready Windows 11 images
• Complete deployment documentation
• Successful pilot deployment
• Knowledge transfer to NCC staff

Responsibilities:

• Upgrade existing SCCM infrastructure to support Windows 11 deployment
• Create three customized Windows 11 images meeting NCC specifications
• Integrate images with SCCM and create deployment task sequences
• Configure and test both in-place upgrades and clean installation scenarios
• Implement government security standards and compliance requirements
• Support pilot deployment of 50 devices and provide production rollout guidance
• Create comprehensive technical documentation
• Provide knowledge transfer to NCC IT staff
• Ensure minimal disruption to end-users during migration

Must Have Skills:

• Minimum 4 years of experience with Windows 11 migration projects using SCCM
• Expert knowledge of SCCM/ConfigMgr (versions 2111 or later preferred)
• Proven experience creating and deploying enterprise Windows images
• Strong understanding of:
• Windows 11 hardware requirements (TPM 2.0, UEFI, Secure Boot)
• SCCM task sequences and driver management
• PowerShell scripting for deployment automation
• Government of Canada IT security requirements (asset)
• Experience with both in-place upgrades and clean installation methodologies

Nice-to-have Skills:

• Previous experience with Government of Canada IT projects
• Knowledge of ITSG-33 security controls
• Experience with cloud-based deployment methods
• Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset
