Location: Toronto/Winnipeg (Hybrid - 3 days/week)

Reporting to the Director, Technology Delivery, the Senior Technical Lead - BTP is accountable for leading a team responsible for the design, development, and operational excellence of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions across the enterprise. This role is pivotal in aligning technical capabilities with strategic business goals, ensuring scalable, secure, and innovative solutions are delivered to support digital transformation initiatives.

This leadership position requires deep technical expertise in SAP BTP services, a strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, and the ability to foster collaboration across business and IT stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Director in the delivery and operations of the BTP platform by leading the technical execution of initiatives and ensuring platform health and scalability.
• Oversee the full development lifecycle of BTP solutions, from design to deployment and support.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to shape and challenge solution designs, ensuring alignment with standards while driving practical, scalable outcomes.
• Manage intake and prioritization of BTP-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and resource availability.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape solution roadmaps and maintain a cohesive application ecosystem.
• Ensure performance, security, and continuous improvement of BTP applications.
• Contribute to budgeting, planning, and adherence to architectural standards.

Must haves:

• 3+ years of experience managing technical teams, ideally in a platform or integration-focused environment.
• 8-10 years of experience in enterprise IT, with a strong focus on SAP technologies and cloud-based platforms.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP services (e.g., CAP, Integration Suite, Workflow, Business Rules, Fiori/UI5).
• Proven experience delivering complex technical solutions in a corporate environment, preferably in Finance, Insurance, or related domains.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
• Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with multiple business units and geographies.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern software engineering principles.
