Sr. S/4HANA Finance Functional Lead/SME to support our financial client's S4 program

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Toronto, 3x/week Hybrid

Serve as the Finance domain expert for an S/4HANA modernization program. Lead fit‑to‑standard design, support code block/CoA harmonization, guide end‑to‑end Finance process redesign, and ensure all functional decisions align with S/4 best practices. Partner with business stakeholders, architects, data teams, and technical teams to deliver a clean, compliant, and scalable S/4HANA Finance solution. Provide expert input across design, configuration, testing, cutover, and hyper care.

• Lead Finance process and design across GL, AP, AR, AA, CO, CO-PA, FSCM, and Universal Journal (ACDOCA).
• Drive Code Block/CoA redesign, Order/Cost Center/Segment simplification, and integration with Group Reporting and Controlling.
• Own Business Partner/MDG, master data standards, and data readiness requirements.
• Provide functional input for S/4 migration tasks (Simplification Item, Fiori, CO/PA changes, custom code impacts).
• Develop functional specs for WRICEF objects and validate solution build.
• Support SIT/UAT, defect resolution, cutover mapping, and financial reconciliation.
• Ensure adherence to compliance (SOX), controls, and solution design.

• 7-10+ years in SAP Finance; 2-3 full S/4HANA programs preferred.
• Full knowledge of SAP ECC FICO.
• Deep knowledge of Universal Journal, Account-Based CO‑PA, Fiori, and S/4 Finance innovations.
• Exposure to CoA harmonization, code block redesign, and complete definition.
• Strong understanding of finance processes: period close, reporting, allocations, asset accounting, controlling.
• Ability to translate business needs into IT solutions and design with minimal customization.
• Strong experience with S/4 fit‑to‑standard design, migration, and WRICEF design.

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
• Knowledge of Group Reporting, MDG, or DataSphere.
• Implementation experience for multi‑entity global environments.
