Sr. Project Manager with expertise in Infrastructure projects to support our banking client's RightFax platform currency upgrade

Duration: 10 Months (extension likely)

Location: Toronto, Hybrid (2x/week)

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead a critical RightFax platform currency upgrade initiative within the Bank's Technology & Operations environment. This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery of a complex infrastructure and application upgrade, coordinating across engineering, platform, infrastructure, NOC, and business stakeholders to ensure a secure, compliant, and seamless transition.

The incumbent will manage planning, execution, risk, and stakeholder engagement across multiple technical workstreams, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget while adhering to the Bank's enterprise governance and change standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Governance
  • Define and manage project scope, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables for the RightFax upgrade (v22.2 v24.4 or v25.0).
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and status reporting aligned with PMO standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Technology & Operations governance, change management, and risk controls.
Technical Delivery & Coordination
  • Lead the build and readiness of QA and PROD Windows servers within a VM environment (NOC/BRK).
  • Oversee installation and configuration of the RightFax application across environments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Platform, Infrastructure, NOC, and vendor partners.
  • Manage environment readiness, cutover planning, and release execution.
Stakeholder & Business Engagement
  • Partner closely with the the bank's Transportation group to transition fax routing to the new U.S.-based RightFax environment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
  • Provide regular executive-level status updates, issue escalation, and decision support.
Risk, Issue & Change Management
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate technical, operational, and delivery risks.
  • Manage change requests, scope impacts, and dependency risks across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Ensure production stability, rollback planning, and post-implementation validation.
Deployment & End-User Readiness
  • Coordinate requests and approvals for new software packaging and deployment to end-user workstations.
  • Ensure alignment with endpoint management, security, and release management teams.
  • Support go-live, hypercare, and knowledge transfer activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience:
  • 7-10+ years of project management experience delivering enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing infrastructure and application upgrade projects in regulated environments (financial services preferred).
  • Technical Exposure:
  • Strong understanding of Windows server environments, virtualized infrastructure, and enterprise application deployments.
  • Experience coordinating multi-environment (QA/PROD) builds and releases.
  • Prior experience with RightFax or similar enterprise communication platforms is a strong asset.
  • Certifications:
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent required.
  • Agile/Scrum exposure considered an asset.
