We are seeking a Senior Geo Analytics Specialist to lead the development, stewardship, and advancement of geospatial intelligence across our organization. In this role, you will transform spatial data into strategic insights that directly support Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Network Planning, and Revenue teams. Your expertise will enable precise understanding of our telecommunications network coverage, competitive landscape, serviceability, customer penetration, and growth potential. You will build geospatial solutions that enhance our ability to target markets, optimize network investments, and identify revenue opportunities. This position is ideal for someone who blends GIS mastery, business intelligence experience, and a passion for location‑based insights. You will serve as a key internal consultant—elevating geospatial data accuracy, improving analytics workflows, and enabling the business to make confident, data‑driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Geospatial Data Strategy & Management
- Develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise GIS datasets, including network assets, serviceability data, address universes, competitive intelligence, and customer‑related spatial data.
- Ensure data integrity through strong governance, validation procedures, and ongoing quality monitoring.
- Integrate GIS datasets with enterprise BI tools, data warehouses, cloud platforms, and operational systems.
Spatial Analytics & Business Insights - Perform advanced spatial analyses supporting market segmentation, customer penetration, network expansion opportunities, cost‑to‑serve modelling, retention/churn analysis, and competitive assessments.
- Create clear, compelling dashboards, visualizations, and map‑based insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Partner with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Field Operations, and Data Engineering to understand business needs and deliver actionable geospatial solutions.
- Provide expertise in address management, serviceability logic, geolocator performance, and geographic market analytics.
- Support strategic planning through scenario modelling, feasibility evaluations, and geographic market forecasting.
Innovation & Enablement - Build automated geospatial workflows, scripting solutions, and ETL processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Design and enhance GIS applications, web maps, and self‑serve geospatial tools.
- Train and support internal teams in leveraging GIS capabilities and geo‑enabled analytics.
An Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional GIS experience, including advanced spatial analysis, cartography, and enterprise data management.
- Proficiency with ESRI technologies including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, GeoEnrichment, and Customer Geo Locators.
- Strong understanding of geospatial data structures, spatial SQL, geoprocessing, and GIS automation using SQL and Python.
- Experience integrating GIS into business processes within fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments.
- Experience with telecommunications or broadband serviceability data, complex network or infrastructure datasets, and related regulatory programs.
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx) and geospatial data engineering workflows.
- Experience working in cloud and big‑data platforms (Databricks, Azure preferred).
- Experience developing GIS web applications, dashboards, and map services.
- Strong foundation in data governance, metadata management, and quality assurance.
- Advanced spatial problem‑solving skills with strong data visualization, mapping, and storytelling abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex geo‑analytics into clear business insights.
- Highly detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
