Description
Our valued client is looking for a Sr. Network Analyst to support efficiency, effectiveness, evaluation, utilization, modernization, and interoperability of security systems with existing networking and computing environments.
FULLY ON-SITE IN OTTAWA
Tasks include:
- Support IT network security related technical planning, design, installation and integration, monitoring and maintenance of systems including networking, computing, and external SaaS components
- Network Operations
- Implement, operate and support advanced Enterprise-level networking products;
- Monitor protocol compatibility, perform system tuning and make recommendations for improvement;
- Interpret requirements for tenants and airlines, provide engineering solutions, and develop specifications to implement new network engineering project needs;
- Identify, isolate, troubleshoot, resolve and document any issues within the customer Information Infrastructure including the Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Enterprise Firewalls/Routers/Switches and Remote Access Service (RAS).
- Control, operate, and support the Virtual Private Network (VPN) access and gateways to include user-access requirements;
- Maintain a real-time on-line operations log of all LAN/WAN, Enterprise Firewalls;
- Installation, integration, operation, administration, and support of various hardware devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers and other networking devices;
- Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the networks, including executing scheduled maintenance tasks and activities;
- Responsible for the resolving network faults and providing support as well as escalating issues to the next level when necessary; and
- Maintain documentation of the environment and operational procedures.
- Wireless Network Operations
- Implement, operate and support wireless networks; and
- Develop, maintain, review and establish ownership of network standards for airport wireless networks, collaborating with other vendors to ensure consistent and interoperable network functionality.
- IP Network Security
- Conduct routine audits to monitor and ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, industry standards and best practices;
- Perform analysis of network security needs and contributes to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software;
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and correct network problems remotely and on-site; and
- Monitor security system logs (i.e., intrusion detection system, firewall system logs, etc.) and reports on discovered anomalies or issues (i.e., insufficient disk space, inappropriate access patterns) on a weekly basis. These report will be provided to IT Management.
Must have:
- Ability to work on-site on a consistent basis. This is not a remote or hybrid position
- Experience as a Network Analyst, supporting IT network security related technical planning, design, installation and integration, monitoring and maintenance of systems including networking, computing, and external SaaS components
- Eligibility for security clearance
