Description
Senior IT Applications Specialist
Required Skills/Experience:
- 5 - 8 years experience with Cloud Platforms (platform components, assembling applications, and run-time architecture).
- Advanced knowledge of ChromeOS, Windows and Linux OS installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Experience evaluating, selecting, and implementing AI-driven solutions and automations to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in business processes.
- Ability to integrate AI tools with existing IT application systems.
- Advanced knowledge of SSO methodologies (SAML & LDAPS).
- Strong programming/scripting knowledge - Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.
- Expert in managing and supporting Linux-based environments.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms including Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture.
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Strong technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
Responsibilities:
- design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of IT application systems.
- maintain a secure and highly available application environment.
- identifying and implementing features, functions and AI capabilities to support internal client business plans.
- investigating and troubleshooting application issues of a complex nature, identifying improvement in existing applications, and clearly
communicating these to the appropriate teams.
How you’ll succeed in this role:
- Taking initiative to identify problems and propose team projects that resolve them.
- Taking ownership of the design, planning, execution and testing for projects, enhancements and break/fix issues.
- Assuming End-to-end responsibility for designing, implementation and maintaining of application lifecycle.
- Working with teams to solve problems. Escalating problems that have a wider scope.
- Taking a more senior involvement in problem solving and encouraging team members to work through issues that have a narrower
scope.
- Establishing relationships with various teams to troubleshoot issues and develop long term solutions effectively.
- Designing, configuring, implementing and maintaining applications and service requirements while researching and establishing best practices.
- Leading and/or participating in projects as a technical subject matter expert.
- Analyzing new functionality in application releases to determine how it should be used.
- Create and maintain SOP’s for application portfolio including other technical documentation to be used by internal technical and non-technical teams.
- Manage Google Workspace within corporate system and service environment.
- Experience managing Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
- Zero Trust Architecture management.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple requests, projects, and activities typically working under pressure.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call shifts.
