Description
Duration: 1 year (chance of extension)
Location: Hybrid 4x/week (North York/Downtown Toronto)
Job Responsibilities:
This person will work across multiple projects as the team is in Shared Services, such as:
- Migrating Jenkins pipelines to Github Actions
- Migrating GitHub from on-prem to a SaaS platform
- Deploying Java applications and managing releases overnight
- Leading projects, driving strategic DevOps transformations across complex financial applications and infrastructure
- Leading efforts around building, optimizing, and scaling DevOps practices tailored for Java-based applications in addition to supporting releases.
Must haves:
- 8+ years as a DevOps Specialist on cloud environments (GCP, Azure, AWS)
- 8+ years of experience coding in Java
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Expert in building CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with scripting languages (JavaScript/TypeScript)
Nice to haves:
- GCP
- AIX/Linux
- Exposure to AI Ops and Application Modernization initiatives
- Experience working with Big 4 consulting
- Experience acting as a DevOps Architect
