Sr Application developer to help support the re-pointing of existing SAS scripts for a data migration project

Our valued client requires a Senior Application developer to help support the re-pointing of existing SAS scripts for a data migration project.


Must haves:

  • 5+ years of experience as a SAS Programmer/Developer
  • Expert knowledge of SAS DI, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Studio
  • Strong experience using various version controls
  • Strong experience installing SAS 9.4/Viya software and patches in AWS environment.
  • Strong experience with Agile principles
  • Experience in communicating across systems teams for their execution of SAS patching and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Active Directory integration for SAS implementations.


Nice to have:

  • Experience working in the Financial Services Industry
  • Experience with Informatica, Teradata, and Active Batch
  • Able to deploy developer code from development environment to test and production environments in accordance with release schedules.


Tasks include:

  • Configure and maintain application settings based on organizational needs, including integrations with other tools and initial setup.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and access control, ensuring proper onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Handle data management tasks such as importing/exporting data, cleanup, validation, and backup scheduling.
  • Monitor application performance and availability, address issues proactively, and generate usage or audit reports.
  • Ensure security and compliance by enforcing policies (e.g., MFA, password rules), reviewing access regularly, and applying updates/patches.
  • Support end users by troubleshooting issues, documenting solutions, and acting as a liaison with the vendor’s support team.
  • Coordinate updates and feature rollouts, including testing changes and communicating with stakeholders about impacts.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including support escalations, contract renewals, SLAs, and participation in feedback or roadmap discussions
