Your job
- Incident Ownership. You will be the face of the team when there are high priority Incidents. Working with the Incident Management team, you will be the owner of the team’s Incident response, gathering resources and providing communication back to internal teams as needed.
- Experience with problem management and root cause analysis. Working within our own team and other technical teams to identify a root cause for Incidents and implementing fixes, improvements and monitors to prevent reoccurrence.
- Client communications. The successful candidate will excel in communicating with impacted business clients and senior executives. Providing timely updates and communicating technical issues into both business and technical terms.
- Bridging communication between all technical teams, influencing other team standards and habits to better align to standards. Creating and monitoring SLA, KPI, reporting and monitoring standards for our team and other internal teams. Ability to be the bridge between all IT and business teams.
- Contribute to the definition, planning, organization and execution of application monitoring and disaster recovery activities across Wealth Management IT
- Leverage a deep understanding of how the systems work to isolate source of a bug or incident to a particular system or application
- Monitor applications and their components across dimensions such as end-user experience, APIs, runtime code exceptions and performance. Recommend enhancements as needed
- Responsible for ensuring maximum service availability and stability
- Resolve escalated, complex or sensitive inquiries from both internal and external clients and ensure they are satisfied with the solutions and quality of service offered
- Act as a liaison between our delivery squads and operations teams, effectively communicating in both business and technical terms
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency of the team to enhance overall client experience
- Observe and communicate potential application risks and improvements in support of effective issue prevention and risk mitigation
- Provide after hours and occasional weekend support for changes/releases, when required.

Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree or University certificate/undergraduate with 3-5 years’ experience in an application support role
- Deep knowledge and experience with Java, SQL, DataDog, Splunk
- Strong track record with agile and DevOps delivery resulting in high velocity, high quality delivery
- Previous experience in an application support team with a focus on monitoring and responding to application reliability, security, and performance KPIs
- Experience working and understanding of LINUX, UNIX and automation by scripting (i.e. BASH, Python)
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- You are self-starter who loves innovation and improvement, collaboration and sharing ideas
- Prior experience in the Banking or Wealth Management industry.
- Experience with building PowerBI and JIRA Dashboards
- Experience with IBM OSS/ISM, CRM2, AS400, Croesus
