Job Description:

Technology Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Technology organization, focusing on an integrated approach to operations, service delivery, planning and the processes supporting the bank. The team is also responsible for enterprise services such as email, Telecom, Disaster Recovery, Network Servers, Availability, Change Management

In conjunction with other members of the Solution Design team, the purpose of this position is to work with key Business & Technology Partners to deliver infrastructure design and implementation for Technology Operations (TO) and Application Development (AD) projects.

These designs include platform selection and sizing, data management design, Disaster Recovery solutions, high availability design, migration approach and other Infrastructure requirements. Additionally, the job entails working in partnership with various architecture groups, Platform Managers, Information Security and Risk management (ISRM), and Engineering teams to design Infrastructure solutions that meet The Bank's standards.

During project implementations, the Solutions Architect will work alongside the Project Manager to support design issues. This will include assisting in the integration of distinct products to form the infrastructure in which an application will be installed on.

· Solutioning - Ensure all engineering, operational, security and architectural requirements are incorporated into every design. Work closely with business consultants and application developers to design solutions to meet business requirements and to ensure infrastructure considerations are represented.

· Leadership & Communication - Collaborate with SMEs across the company and make informed recommendations to enhance solutions. Weigh business needs against technology of offerings, security concerns and provide recommendations to improve the user experience, which are practical and achievable.

· Client engagement - Meet with application developers to understand their priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide guidance on technology and standards. Use your technical knowledge to help clients meet their business objectives.

· You can demonstrate experience in: creating solutions that meet business objectives and are cost effective; and implementing strategic team goals and OKRs. It is an asset if you have experience leading within an Agile environment and working with DevOps concepts and implementation methodologies.

XP with Azure (Data Lake, Databricks, Key Vault. ExpressRoute) - 5+ years

Security Products and Tools (Akamai, Firewalls, Host/Network Intrusion Detection Systems, Data Leakage systems, Client facing systems) - 5+ years
