We are seeking a Senior Transformation Project Manager to stand up and lead an enterprise PMO and drive large-scale business and technology transformation for a Québec-based, private-equity-backed deathcare services platform operating funeral homes, cemeteries, and operational centres across the province.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused contract role supporting organic growth through technology modernization, shared service enablement, and operational improvement. The successful contractor will operate as a PMO lead and transformation owner, working closely with executive leadership, Private Equity stakeholders, and business unit leaders to translate strategy into delivery across multiple brands.
This role is on-site in Montréal (4-5 days/week) and requires a bilingual French/English professional comfortable leading change in high-empathy, people-centric environments.
Must-Have Requirements'
- Senior Transformation Project Manager with 10+ years leading enterprise transformation initiatives
- Proven experience standing up and leading a PMO in a multi-business or multi-site environment
- Ability to operate as a “team of one,” driving execution by influencing business leaders and functional teams without direct authority
- Hands-on delivery experience driving technology and operating model change (not governance-only PMO work)
- Bilingual French/English (mandatory)
- Experience leading enterprise technology implementations, including ERP (Business Central), Case Management, Contact Centre, or similar platforms
- Strong background partnering with executive stakeholders and business unit leaders
- Ability to work on-site in Montréal 4-5 days per week, with travel across Québec as required
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in healthcare, deathcare, or other high-empathy service industries
- Experience working within a private-equity-backed portfolio company
- Background overseeing systems integrators and third-party vendors
- Change management certification or formal change leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Stand up and lead the enterprise PMO, including governance, delivery standards, and execution cadence
- Own and execute the enterprise transformation roadmap, aligned to business growth objectives
- Lead technology modernization initiatives, including ERP, case management, and contact centre platforms
- Partner with leaders across Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Customer Service, and Sales to enable shared services
- Drive hands-on change management, training, and adoption across all brands and locations
- Manage and oversee systems integrators and external advisors
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while remaining deeply engaged in execution
