Senior Technical Lead / Solution Architect to support a large-scale Core Banking Integration and Migration Program.

Our Financial Services Client is looking for a Senior Technical Lead / Solution Architect to support a large-scale Core Banking Integration and Migration Program. This role will lead end-to-end solution design across complex system integrations and data migration workstreams, supporting a major merger and transformation initiative within a highly regulated banking environment.

The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in defining and governing the integration architecture across multiple systems, ensuring alignment between business, data, and technology layers. This includes producing key architecture artifacts, establishing integration standards, and supporting delivery pods in executing complex migration and integration activities.

6 months contract to start, 100% Remote (Candidates must be located in BC, ON, AB candidates)

Must Have:

• 10+ years within enterprise architecture, integration architecture, or solution architecture
• Strong financial services, banking, or credit union experience leading complex enterprise integration initiatives
• Familiarity with ARIS or enterprise architecture tooling
• Strong background in:
• Data flow design
• System-to-system integrations
• Experience creating:
• Conceptual integration diagrams
• Data flow diagrams
• Architecture design artifacts
• Integration design documentation
• Experience building reusable architecture frameworks or integration “playbooks” for enterprise programs
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to create scalable frameworks and standards
• Background as a Software developer

Nice to Have:

• Prior involvement in bank mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale core banking transformations
• Experience with data mapping, reconciliation, and financial data validation
• Background working in pod-based or managed service delivery models

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation of 6-10 end-to-end migration solution designs, covering system impacts and integration dependencies
• Develop a central Integration Conceptual Design that serves as the architectural baseline and playbook for current and future merger initiatives
• Define and document integration architecture standards and reusable patterns across programs and pods
• Create supporting ARIS architecture artifacts to align with enterprise architecture governance
• Contribute to broader architecture playbooks for merger and acquisition programs going forward
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to delivery pods including BSAs, QE, and migration teams
• Ensure alignment between source and target systems during migration and validation phases
• Support planning for mock rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and production cutover readiness
