Our valued public sector client is seeking to hire a Senior Technical Architect to design, evaluate, and improve secure, classified email systems for a public sector client.

Background:

The initiatives aims to enhance IT capability development across core areas such as Classified Email, Business Transformation, and Core IT Infrastructure, ensuring effective coordination, technical management, and support for both national and allied systems.

Tasks:

• Analyze and evaluate existing department email and messaging plans, diagrams, documentation, specifications and infrastructure and provide impact analysis of configuration and technology changes, to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend performance improvements to email systems with a focus on Allied Interoperability and related force development activities;
• Assist in development of technical architectures, frameworks and strategies for departmental email to meet requirements with a focus on Allied Interoperability. Ongoing analysis and consideration of emerging technologies in the area of email delivery, storage and security must be performed in order to develop these strategies;
• In a lab environment if/when required for force/capability development;
• a. Develop and deliver a test plan for all email/messaging developments to be lab tested with the following: details of the release, background/short business case, technical description, test plan design and test case details;
• b. Provide a report detailing test plans and compiled test results for any configuration changes being considered for classified email system(s);
• c. Provide a report to the Technical Authority with results of the evaluation of email and messaging plans, and computer hardware systems;
• d. Produce and deliver proposals, designs and architectures for the provision of support to special email capabilities such as those required for connectivity to external email systems;
• e. Provide reports detailing evaluation of departmental email and messaging network and application software
• Analyze and evaluate departmental email and messaging network and application management software. Departmental standards for system performance/availability within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) require the use of management software for the monitoring and troubleshooting of networks and applications.
• Provide advice to projects and initiatives involving the Classified Network (CNet) and Designated Wide area Network (DWAN) that impact the CCEM system such as the expansion of system capabilities;
• Provide CCEM gateway/interface design documents and gateway/interface operations documentation;
• Provide force development advice for the Classified Network Operating System (CNOS), Consolidated Secret Network Infrastructure (CSNI), Command and Control Information System (C2IS), Joint Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (JISR), Transportable Local Area Network (TLAN), and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret (NS) infrastructures including but not limited to its messaging, email and mobility services;
