Description
Our public sector client is looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to provide team leadership and recruitment support during a period of high activity and transition.
Initially 3-month contract with chances of extension. 3 days onsite in Richmond with some flexibility.
Must have:
- 5 - 8+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, ideally in both high-volume and specialized roles
- Previous leadership or team lead experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably in Canada
- Experience managing recruiter workloads, workflow coordination, and portfolio management in a large organization, preferably in public sector, unionized environments
- Familiarity with Oracle
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a client-service mindset.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruitment metrics.
- Proven ability to manage complex recruitment processes for leadership, technical, and/or critical roles.
- Experience working in unionized environments and complex or matrixed organizations (e.g., public sector, crown, higher ed, healthcare)
- Experience navigating temporary leadership transitions or filling in during periods of organizational change is a plus
Nice to have:
- Experience with Oracle HCM
Responsibilities:
- Act as a working team lead, providing direction, coordination, and coaching to Talent Acquisition team members during the contract period.
- Manage or directly support full-cycle recruitment for complex, senior, or high-volume roles when additional capacity is needed.
- Collaborate with other TA Partners and HR teams to align recruitment activities with broader organizational goals and workforce plans.
- Offer mentorship and guidance to newer TA team members, supporting quality control and best practice adoption.
- Troubleshoot process gaps or role-specific challenges and recommend improvements to drive efficiency and service quality.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, workforce planning discussions, and hiring strategy development.
- Promote a collaborative, service-oriented culture within the recruitment function.
