Our public sector client is looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to provide team leadership and recruitment support during a period of high activity and transition.

Initially 3-month contract with chances of extension. 3 days onsite in Richmond with some flexibility.

Must have:

• 7+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with a strong focus on public sector and/or unionized environments.
• Demonstrated experience acting as a team lead or mentor in a high-volume recruitment environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex recruitment processes for leadership, technical, and/or critical roles.
• Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruitment metrics.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Oracle HCM

Responsibilities:

• Act as a working team lead, providing direction, coordination, and coaching to Talent Acquisition team members during the contract period.
• Manage or directly support full-cycle recruitment for complex, senior, or high-volume roles when additional capacity is needed.
• Collaborate with other TA Partners and HR teams to align recruitment activities with broader organizational goals and workforce plans.
• Offer mentorship and guidance to newer TA team members, supporting quality control and best practice adoption.
• Troubleshoot process gaps or role-specific challenges and recommend improvements to drive efficiency and service quality.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, workforce planning discussions, and hiring strategy development.
• Promote a collaborative, service-oriented culture within the recruitment function.
