Our public sector client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Specialist to design, configure, and migrate enterprise SharePoint Online environments

Join a high-impact initiative modernizing collaboration and governance across a large public organization. This role leads SharePoint Online architecture, configuration, and data migration from legacy network drives with a focus on scalability and security. The position offers end-to-end ownership of technical design and implementation supporting organizational transformation and adoption.

Must Haves

• 10+ years in SharePoint Online design and administration including information architecture and governance
• Hands-on site and library configuration, permissions management, and lifecycle setup
• Proven data migration experience from network drives using SPMT or ShareGate
• Knowledge of Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem integration
• Post-secondary education in computer science or related discipline

Nice to Have

• Background in public sector, housing, utilities, or asset-intensive organizations
• Understanding of Microsoft Purview retention, sensitivity labels, and compliance
• Experience developing user training materials or workshops
• Exposure to Power Automate for workflow automation

Responsibilities

• Design SharePoint site, library, and hub architecture aligned with organizational structure
• Develop metadata models, content types, naming conventions, and navigation
• Implement secure role-based access and governance standards for permissions and retention
• Configure sites, lists, pages, and document lifecycle settings
• Plan and execute data migration from network drives, ensuring integrity and structure
• Validate post-migration content and coordinate cutover with business units
• Provide documentation, training, and technical support during adoption
