Senior Security Engineer to support with key projects, initiatives and Operational activities for both legacy and modernized systems within the public sect

Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to support with key projects, initiatives and Operational activities for both legacy and modernized systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with options analysis and recommending cloud adoption strategies tailored to both AWS and Azure platforms for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud solutions
• Analyzing and implementing security technologies across systems, application architectures, and hardware/software platforms
• Providing security architecture design and engineering support for cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.
• Recommending safeguards and risk mitigation strategies for IT infrastructure, applications, and services, leveraging reusable solutions where possible.

Must haves:

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud support, cloud security, tenant operations and delivery of Platform Services.
• 7+ years of experience analyzing and implementing security technologies across systems, application architectures, and hardware/software platforms, including:
• Directory and Authentication standards
• Single Sign On integration with Cloud platforms • Networking protocols
• Network routing (e.g., static, dynamic, and BGP routing)
• Domain Name Services (DNS) and Certificate Management
• Cloud Native and Next Generation Firewall and Connectivity configuration
• Cloud based Web Application Firewall (WAF) configuration, implementation and monitoring.
• Cloud Perimeter Architecture and Defense
• 7+ years of experience assisting and leading in network issue resolution.
• 7+ years of experience designing and implementing secure IT architectures, standards, and protocols.
