Our valued telecommunications client is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support the delivery of new enhancements and features on various SDLC projects!


Initial 1-year contract with a strong possibility of an additional 1-year extension. 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. 3 days/week on-site in Montreal or Greater Toronto Area. Candidates who work from the Montreal office must be fluently bilingual.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the ceremonies to deliver the project assigned to the team
  • Guide the team on how to use Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices and values to meet customers demands
  • Guide the team on how to get the most of self organization and achieve higher levels, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Facilitate getting the work done, support the team to remove roadblocks
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Supporting the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Report on team’s progress
  • Guide and support the team


Must-have Skills

  • 2+ years of dedicated scrum master experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge / applied work experience utilizing SAFe (Scaled Agile framework)
  • Knowledge of techniques required to properly operate Scrum and Kanban such as: Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc
  • Demonstrated experience supporting SDLC projects with good familiarity of software / web development concepts


Nice-to-have Skills

  • Knowledge of project management
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Kanban
