Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to assist with a Portfolio of HR-related digital transformation projects


Calgary-based office. Candidates can be 100% remote in Canada


Must haves:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a focus on large-scale Human Resource Projects or enterprise transformation programs
  • Experience in HR operations (operating model design, automation, and process simplification.)
  • Experience working with enterprise systems such as SAP, Workday, or ServiceNow
  • Experience in portfolio governance, risk management, and cross-functional coordination within a corporate PMO or shared services environment

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of complex HR and business transformation projects that include HR technology enablement (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors), process redesign, and change management.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and PMO leaders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics aligned to organizational strategy.
  • Establish and maintain effective project governance structures and stakeholder engagement plans to ensure visibility, accountability, and alignment.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive sponsors and senior HR leaders, demonstrating the presence and credibility required to manage challenging or conflicting priorities.
  • Drive structured planning and execution using the most appropriate methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) based on project type, complexity, and outcomes.
  • Oversee project budgets, resourcing, and timelines to ensure efficient use of financial and human capital.
  • Identify dependencies and risks across workstreams, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place and proactively communicated.
  • Collaborate with Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Communications teams to drive adoption, readiness, and successful transition to new ways of working.
