Description
Our large Oil & Gas industry client is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to develop reports and dashboards for a Retail division.
This is an initial 1-year contract set to start in January. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to working full-time onsite in the heart of downtown Calgary.
Must-Haves:
- 7+ years' experience in Power BI reports and dashboard development
- Strong expertise in SQL, DAX, and data modeling for multi-dimensional and tabular models
- Proven experience creating dynamic, user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI Desktop (open to SSRS, Power BI Report Builder experience)
- Familiarity with Databricks and Azure data workspace
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
- Utilize SQL and DAX to build robust data models and deliver accurate insights.
- Connect and integrate data from Databricks and other backend systems.
- Optimize performance of Power BI datasets and reports for scalability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into impactful visualizations.
