Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Operations Specialist (5+ Years) to support Equity Finance post-trade processing and global settlements

Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)

Location: Remote (EST Hours)


Join a globally recognized banking institution’s Equity Finance Operations team providing maternity leave coverage on a 6‑month contract. This role manages critical, time-sensitive post-trade activities across equity finance products, ensuring accuracy and control over global transactions. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with international teams across North America, Europe, and Asia while maintaining continuity in global settlement operations.

Must Haves

  • 5+ years in Capital Markets Operations, particularly within Equity Finance or Securities Lending
  • Strong understanding of settlement processing, collateral management, and reconciliations
  • Hands-on experience with G1, iLOAN, or equivalent post-trade platforms
  • Proven ability to handle high-volume and time-sensitive workflows independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline

Nice to Have

  • Prior exposure to global market operations across North America, Europe, or Asia
  • Familiarity with control and regulatory procedures in equity finance environments

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily settlement lifecycle for equity finance trades, including borrows, loans, returns, recalls, and buy-ins
  • Perform collateral processing, mark-to-market activities, and exposure monitoring
  • Execute reconciliations across internal systems and external depositories such as DTC and CDS
  • Investigate and resolve breaks, fails, and exceptions with counterparties
  • Support end-of-day reporting while maintaining adherence to control standards and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, and Control teams to manage operational risk
