Description
Our Major Insurance Client is searching for a Senior Java Developer to transform design and product vision into seamless, engaging software solutions.
Duration: 6-Months, potential to renew
Location: Hybrid (3 Days/week in-office) - Toronto, London, or Winnipeg
On-call Expectation: Candidate will be on-call for 1-week during the 6-Month Contract Duration
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test high-quality software solutions that meet business specifications, leveraging modern development practices and tools.
- Lead code reviews and mentor team members, promoting clean code principles, continuous improvement, and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, including Architecture, Analysts, and Business Units, to translate technical solutions into business value.
- Drive quality and automation initiatives, including the implementation of testing frameworks, data management tools, and process enhancements.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in a Java development role.
- Proficiency in Java 17, Maven, SQL, and both relational and non-relational databases.
- Proven experience writing and maintaining test code with JUnit, Playwright.
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge of the insurance industry.
