Senior Full Stack Java/ Python Developer for our capital markers client -397

Location: Downtown Toronto

WFH/Office/Hybrid: hybrid 1 day per week

Hours: 37.5

Contract Duration: 12 months, with extension through Nov 2027

Interview process: First round will be Technical, followed by a Management round.

Purpose of the Job

• As a senior full stack developer, the person will be responsible to enhance and extend features of Summit HUB application.
• While the majority of work is on Python and Java the person is expected to be flexible w.r.t technology.
• The role involves analyzing BRDs and creating technical design document, create unit test cases, and perform unit tests.
• The role requires active communication with IT, Business, and ITID stakeholders in Pune, London, Paris, Hong Kong, and Toronto.
• The person is expected to be flexible in terms of project allocation, contribute in tooling and DevOps transformation of the application and actively provide cover and helping hands to the production support team in Toronto

Must-haves

• 5-10 years of experience as a Java (Spring/Spring boot) Developer with extensive Python and Oracle experience
• Capital markets experience specifically experience with Investment Banking OTC products
• Good understanding of OOP.
• XML Parsing
• Batch/Command Scripting, Batch Scheduling tool
• JIRA, Jenkins, BMC Control-M, DevOps and Automation

Nice-to-have

• Experience working in a distributed team setup
• C/C++, Rundeck
• Proactive learning approach

Soft skills:

- Self-Starter, proactively work closely with global team members located across Paris, Hong Kong and India.

- Own up tasks and ensure delivery.

- Ability and prior experience in mentoring junior team mates on technical issues and deliveries.

Education and Experience

Completed Secondary School or University (BA) or (BS)

The graduation/post-graduation should be in an engineering or a computer-based discipline
