Description
Senior DevOps Engineer - Snowflake & Databricks
Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
Onsite Requirement: Hybrid - 2 days/week onsite in Toronto OR Montreal, QC
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5-8 years in DevOps, focused on ML/AI platforms
- Strong experience administering and optimizing Snowflake and Databricks
- Proficient with Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab
- Skilled in Python and Bash scripting
- Familiar with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with SageMaker or Bedrock is a strong asset
Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Snowflake and Databricks for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability
- Lead debugging, root cause analysis, and resolution planning for platform issues
- Define and implement infrastructure and CI/CD automation
- Develop technical solutions and lead proof-of-concepts
- Ensure deployment consistency across environments with focus on security and scalability
- Troubleshoot complex monitoring issues and handle escalations
- Drive automation for deployments and platform operations
