Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst (Reliability Clearance) to design and implement enterprise data solutions using Databricks and SQL

Join a national organization delivering large-scale data architecture and analytics initiatives supporting financial reporting for credit exposure and expected losses. This role provides end-to-end ownership of data solution design, modeling, and integration aligned with enterprise information governance. The position is part of the Enterprise Data Operations Technology - Data Solutions Operations team, driving data modernization and transition from legacy systems to a medallion architecture.

Must Haves

• Reliability level security clearance
• 7+ years as a dedicated Data Analyst or Data Modeler in the financial services industry
• 7+ years developing SQL ETL, performing data analysis, and data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• 2+ years implementing data solutions using Databricks within a medallion architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, or Business

Nice to Have

• 7 years of experience in data solution delivery (translating business needs into data solutions and preparing end-to-end design of data products
• 7 years of experience with Data Modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical data models)
• 7 years of experience with Data Analysis (development of SQL ETL, reverse engineer existing code or non code-based ETL, data flow diagrams)

Responsibilities

• Collect, document, and analyze information management and data requirements
• Engage with internal clients to translate business needs into data products and solutions
• Create and review design artifacts such as data flows, models, and mapping documents
• Align solution designs with enterprise data architecture principles and governance standards
• Reverse engineer legacy ETL builds to design and build future data assets
• Collaborate with data architects, governance analysts, and business SMEs
• Deliver accurate and complete documentation to support stakeholder validation and sign-off
• Design and implement future state architectures and data solutions following a medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers)
• Enhance the data and processes used to support the client's financial reporting of credit exposure and expected losses, improving accuracy, reducing manual effort, and transitioning away from legacy systems. Data Products will include aspects related to loans, guarantees and commitments
