Story Behind the Need - Business Group & Key Projects:

Currently supporting Can and US both using system providers by TAI. Upgraded from main frame 2.4 version to Azure version 3.7. So, need contractor to support both 2.4 and 3.7

Responsibilities:

The main function of an Applications Developer is to design, develop, and implement applications using languages and technologies (Mainframe Cobol, Python, VB.net, SQL) to support business requirements.

• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience with analytical skills
• Main frame
• Cobol
• Python and C#
• Previous experience with TAI

Nice-to-have Skills

• Change management
• SDLC
• Hands on operation skill

Years of Experience: 10+ on the main frame, python and Sequel, 2-3 years on PM as they will leading offshore as well

Degrees/Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required Development experience in needed language or technology (Mainframe, Cobol, JCL, Python, SQL, VB, C#)
