Senior Solution Architect

A career as a senior solution architect in the Financial Markets IT (FMIT) team at National Bank means acting as a technical leader who shapes the direction and success of critical initiatives. This job allows you to have a concrete impact on the organization through your expertise in solution architecture, cloud technologies, and financial markets systems.

Your job

• Design solutions that meet business and non-functional requirements while respecting architectural guardrails.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify and challenge business needs, and propose effective solutions.

• Participate in architectural governance within the FMIT space by providing advice and feedback to colleagues.

• Develop and strengthen your expertise in AWS, data architecture, security architecture, and AI.

• Define and support reusable solution components, design patterns, and templates to accelerate development and integration.

Within the Financial Markets sector, you are part of a team of about ten colleagues and report to the FM Strategy and Delivery (SnL) Architect. Prerequisites

• Hold a bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science, information technology, or computer engineering.

• At least 10 years of experience in architecture or technical leadership roles (financial markets experience an asset).

• Experience in cloud architecture (AWS Solution Architect Associate certification is an asset).

• Knowledge of data architecture and security architecture (asset).

• Availability for occasional travel, particularly between Montreal and Toronto.
