Senior Change and Controls Specialist to align subcontracts, cost control and scheduling for construction activities


**This role is onsite in Edmonton**


Must haves:

  • 10+ years of experience working with Contracts Administration and Construction projects
  • Proficient with the MS Office Suite, and working knowledge of P6
  • Must comprehend web-based platforms and construction terminology
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business or a similar field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.


Nice to haves:

  • PMP is an asset
  • Experience working in a contracting capacity


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Construction is in full compliance with the Project Agreement, including matters relating to quality, safety, environment, and life cycle performance, such as Project’s ECO Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and all applicable legislation.
  • Assess, validate, and approve contract change proposals.
  • Manage the scope definition process for contract changes.
  • Manage and regularly validate the scope through the project lifecycle.
  • Assure the change management process complies with governance.
  • Provide guidance and support to the project delivery teams as they make decisions that impact contract change and scope management.
  • Working on behalf of the project, leading the commercial and technical reviews to assure contract change scope is assured against requirements and the original contracts.
  • Identify, assess, and compile the supporting project information to develop and draft contract change documentation that aligns with the requirements and scope.
  • Periodically review the processes, procedures, and tools to identify and implement opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the scope, change and contract approach.
  • Assists project team members to ensure effective implementations of project-specific procedures.
  • Contributes as a team player who is deadline-driven and works well with others.
  • Performs other duties commensurate with functional level and responsibilities.
