Senior Business Intelligence Team Lead to oversee the development of new dashboards on Qlik Sense and AWS Quick Sight for a healthcare client!

Our valued healthcare client is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Team Lead to oversee the development of new dashboards on Qlik Sense and AWS Quick Sight!

Initial 6-month contract with strong possibility of extension. Hybrid on-site (2 days/week) in North York, ON or Ottawa, ON - fixed on-site day for teamwork every Tuesday. 7.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

As the successful candidate, you will oversee a team of BI developers, guiding the delivery of scalable, compliant, and high-impact dashboards and web-integrated analytics for a healthcare audience. You will lead several new projects, including the exploration of enabling new AI features on AWS Quicksight to modernize reporting, and exploration of new BI platforms (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) as part of the organization's evolving BI strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of BI developers leveraging Qlik Sense and AWS QuickSight
• Design and oversee Qlik Sense mashup implementations integrated into AODA-compliant, bilingual (English/French) web environments.
• Provide architectural guidance and code reviews across BI projects.
• Work closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and cloud teams to gather requirements and align BI solutions with business goals.
• Assist in the evaluation, prototyping, and potential adoption of new BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or further expansion into AWS QuickSight.
• Help shape BI governance, standards, and long-term analytics roadmap.

Must-Have

• 5+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 2+ years as a team lead
• Strong hands-on Qlik Sense expertise, including mashups, APIs, and custom visualizations.
• Experience delivering AODA-compliant, bilingual BI solutions.
• Exposure to AWS QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau in enterprise environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience enabling AI features on AWS QuickSight.
• Familiarity with BI in healthcare or regulated sectors.
